Come work in swamp and bayou country at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center.  We are a Platinum LEED facility with award-winning education programs!  Programs are offered in our organic garden and in the 250+ acres of bayou, cypress-tupelo swamp, forest, and meadows. Shangri La Gardens educators will gain diverse experience in outdoor informal education, and build connections in the community.  

Under the direction of the Associate Director, this position advances science-based education through outreach lessons, onsite curriculum-based field trips, virtual programming, community events, and teacher trainings. This position is the lead educator for all education programs, supported by the other twelve members of The Shangri La Gardens’ Education Team.
