Overview:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Onsite School Programs - Schedule and conduct environmental education programs for school children; assist in the development of curriculum, activities and exhibits
  • Work with our outreach team to lead science education programming to first grade students throughout the state of Utah
  • Develop and conduct preschool, home school and after school programs.
  • Provide programs for groups with special needs, such as underserved populations, elderly and developmentally disabled
  • Community Education - assist with community program development, implementation, and strengthen community awareness
  • Summer Camps – Assist in camp planning and implementation
  • Events – Assist with planning and organization of special events
  • Other Duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

College graduate; science or teaching degrees preferred
Interested in environmental education and conservation
Love working and being outdoors
Articulate and an excellent writer
Computer proficient (Word, Excel, email)
Interested in pursuing a career in environmental education, conservation or land management
Excited to be an AmeriCorps National Service Member with the Utah Conservation Corps

Requirements:

US citizenship or lawful permanent residency
 A valid driver’s license and good driving record
Ability to perform strenuous outdoor work

 Ability to make a 1700 hour (January 20th –December 18th) time commitment. This requires a 37-40 hour work week during our regular business hours and occasional evening and weekend hours
