Hello! I am searching out family fieldtrip ideas, on sustainability, for the Northern Virginia Area. Does anyone have any ideas or places that would work for a Saturday fieldtrip! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but here are a few ideas:
The Northern Virginia Soil & Water Conservation District offers "Hand-On Conservation" programs to the public such as sustainable garden tours, rain barrel workshops, composting workshops, and volunteer stream monitoring. Meadowlark Garden in Vienna has a free fall garden tour on October 6 at 2pm (registration required). I hope these ideas are useful. Post if you'd like more suggestions.
