Will you join us in the DRAWDOWN EcoChallenge this spring?

Doing something new is always easier and more fun when it’s done with a group. So, consider this: we could use this Discussion Thread, NAAEE’s Webinar system, and your expertise and commitment to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by collectively engaging in the April 3 – 24, 2019 DRAWDOWN EcoChallenge.

What is it? The DRAWDOWN EcoChallenge is a collective effort to put the DRAWDOWN solutions into action locally with your friends, colleagues, and the learners you work with. See https://drawdown.ecochallenge.org/

When? Sign-ups begin in February, and the Challenge itself runs for 3 exciting weeks: April 3 – 24, 2019

Who’s participating? Teams are now forming across the US and round the world. See who has already signed up at https://drawdown.ecochallenge.org/teams

How do I figure out what to do? The EcoChallenge headquarters has a great, approachable and ready-to-use digital platform that provides a unique framework with:
* guidelines and tips for helping you launch a team.
* materials for learning about the 80 best ways to roll back greenhouse gas emissions, take action in your daily lives, share and celebrate our success.
* visuals to enable all of us to see the extraordinary changes that come from our collective action.

The Climate Change Education eePRO group hosted a webinar in March featuring Sarah Duffer, who led the Spring 2018 winning EcoChallenge team. Watch the recorded webinar for her firsthand advice to help you get fired up and figure out who to involve and how to launch your team: https://youtu.be/TnM-iV4a3xs

You can also join team NAAEE to participate in the challenge (and encourage your students to join too!). Join here: https://drawdown.ecochallenge.org/participants/join?referral_code=2ddb2a...

Thanks Karen. I signed up at drawdown.ecochallenge.org, joined a team, and recruited a colleague. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

The best time for me to participate in the upcoming webinar with Sarah Duffer is choice B--the evening of March 12. I would like Sarah's opinions on strategies and best practices for nonformal educators to engage with formal educators in an ecochallenge campaign.
